Hello!

I'm Danielle Davis. I grew up in Singapore and Hong Kong and now live in Downtown Los Angeles.

My first picture book is To Make, art by Mags DeRoma, from HarperCollins. My first middle grade novel was Zinnia and the Bees.

I'm represented by Amy Thrall Flynn at Aevitas Creative Management.

I'm a writer for children, collaborator, teacher, producer, and picture book editor. My goal with every project is to offer kids validation, comfort, and hope. And I help writers of any age tap into their unique voices and visions. I love visiting schools and libraries to read and craft with kids, speaking engagements, writing workshops with children or professional development folks, editing and mentoring picture book-writers, as well as writing and producing animation projects.

I've been a literacy volunteer and mentor and am a member of  the Children's Media Association and Story Sunbirds.

I've got an M.A. in literature and creative writing, and a number of years ago, I had the privilege of teaching English to middle school and then community college students.
