I grew up far, far away in Asia. SINGAPORE was first as a child, then marvelous HONG KONG where I spent parts of junior high and high school.
Now I live in the Silver Lake neighborhood of LOS ANGELES.
I’ve got an M.A. in Literature and Creative Writing from Claremont Graduate University and am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
In the past, I’ve had the privilege of TEACHING English to junior highers and community college students. Plus I’ve worked at TreePeople and as a web writer/editor.
Presently, I READ and WRITE and am a volunteer tutor at 826LA.
My husband is an artist, builder, film guy, and jack of all trades who can make almost anything out of practically nothing.
